Summer Fun in Morzine

Whilst perhaps best known for its winter skiing, the resort of Morzine in the French Alps has so much more in store for visitors all year round, whether you’re seeking an action-packed family holiday or a relaxing romantic break. Here at Hunter Chalets, we have some of the finest luxury chalets Morzine has to offer, available to our guests whatever the season.

Summer in Morzine

During the summer our Morzine chalets are the perfect holiday homes for a wonderful summer vacation. The awe-inspiring scenery that takes skiers’ breaths away is no less spectacular during the summer months. The village is surrounded by picturesque rolling hills and enjoys plenty of sunshine.

Indeed, with the long evenings and the sun’s slow descent behind the mountains, you experience a corona effect along the horizon that is of the most exquisite beauty.

Walking, Hiking, and Biking

Of course, you get more than just beautiful scenery when you spend your summer at one of our chalets in Morzine. The area is famous for its walking and cycling routes and has been part of the mountain stage of the Tour-de-France on several occasions.

For a more off-road approach, there are many mountain bike tracks around the area catering for every level of experience so you can find a daredevil trail or bring all the kids along for a gentle ride. The alpine setting means that temperatures average a comfortable 20 degrees in summer, perfect for an active holiday.

More Activities in Morzine

If you plan to spend your time in Morzine at a more leisurely pace, the resort offers excellent opportunities for golfing, fishing, and archery, as well as an Olympic size swimming pool. The more adventurous can try their hand at caving, snorkelling, and kayaking, all with Morzine’s gorgeous scenery as a backdrop.

If you really want to test yourself, the mountains offer the greatest challenge all by themselves, with rock climbing sessions – both assisted and unassisted – available throughout the summer.

Taking a Breather

While exercise in the fresh Morzine air is a wonderful thing, the area also has plenty of opportunities to take it down a notch. From family farm visits at Les Apprentis Fermier to the slate mine museum, music festivals, fine dining and the weekly markets, it needn’t all be hustle and bustle to make the most of your time in the region.
