Les Gets has a fantastic offering of restaurants both on and off the slopes and many of the mountain restaurants are accessible by non-skiers making it easy for friends to join you for lunch. At the top of the Chavannes gondola there are several restaurants that can provide a base from which parents can spend time with babies and young children learning to ski. They are located next to the nursery slopes and it is feasible to take a robust pram to these restaurants. For those looking for long lunches in the sun or travelling with corporate groups, restaurants like La Chasse-Montagne offer a wonderful menu and selection of wines which you can enjoy on the large sunny terrace.

A visit to the Mechanical Music Museum gives an insightful historical journey for adults but provides a fun excursion for children due to its many interactive exhibitions that will delight young ones.

Skiing the Vallee Blanch; the longest, lift accessible, off-piste run in the world is one such day trip that you may want to incorporate in your winter holiday.
